The Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted operations to search and neutralize members of the BTO [separatist terror organization], to find those involved in the production and trafficking of illegal drugs, to find stored drugs within the operation zone and those hiding them, the Diyarbakir governorate said in a statement.

"As a result of the operation, a total of 420,100 roots of cannabis plants in 3 different locations, 550 meters long water hose/pipe detected in the fields in order to water the cannabis plants were seized," said the governorate, while added that all sized materials were destroyed in the scene.

The statement contained that 15,401,507 root cannabis plants, 9 tons 131 kilograms of cannabis substances, 25 kilograms of cannabis seeds were seized in narcotics operations carried out in Diyarbakır between 01 January and 02 August 2019.

The statement read that seized cannabis plants and 250 tons of cannabis substances were prevented from being made, millions of our citizens were prevented from poisoning by destroying the drug at its scene.
