The U.S. and NATO Resolute Support mission announced Monday that three U.S. soldiers were killed and three soldiers were wounded in a bomb attack near Bagram Air Base near Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

The wounded were evacuated and are receiving medical care, the statement said while the information about the deceased soldiers was given.

The attack was carried out by a bomb-laden vehicle the statement said and a US army tank was destroyed in the attack.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
