30-35 million Iranians are likely to be exposed to coronavirus in the coming months
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that 30-35 million Iranians were likely to be exposed to coronavirus in the coming months.
Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Hassan Rouhani said: "At the same time, people should not be anxious. We should advise people to both the right and patience, but we should not create anxiety in them or make them overwhelmed. Winning against this disease may be a little difficult and time consuming, but we will definitely win and we must stand firm and know that victory is certain".
"According to the Deputy of the Ministry of Health for Research Affairs, 30 to 35 million people are likely to be exposed to the disease in the coming months," Rouhani said, adding that everyone should work together to strictly follow health protocols to break the chain of the disease.
Rouhani described using masks, observing physical distancing and avoiding gatherings along with strict observance of health protocols as a great contribution to the health of the society and the process of fighting coronavirus.
Rouhani noted that out of every one thousand people who are infected with coronavirus, 500 are asymptomatic and these pose the greatest risk of transmitting coronavirus to others.
