550 PKK/YPG members have been killed since Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring in the Northern Syria, Turkish Defense Ministry said on Monday.

Turkey started Operation Peace Spring to eliminate PKK/YPG members from northern Syria.

Ankara wants to clear northern Syria east of the Euphrates River of the PKK/YPG in order to secure Turkey's border, to establish a safe zone for Syrians return the area east of the Euphrates River controlled by PKK/YPG.
