A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hits western Turkey
The 4.0 magnitude quake hit the Aegean Sea off the coast of the Karaburun district in Izmir province on Thursday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 09:24 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.9530 degrees north and a longitude of 26.0291 degrees east, and at a depth of 7.30 km.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
