A 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurs off northwestern Turkey

The offshore quake took place off the coast of the Biga district of Turkey’s northwestern Çanakkale, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 9:42 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 40.3488 degrees north and a longitude of 27.3953 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.95 km.
