Akar meets US Syria envoy

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar met with U.S. Special Envoy for Syria James Jeffrey on Friday.

The Ministry said in a written statement that Akar and Jeffrey had exchanged views on issues of regional security, especially Syria.

 The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara David Satterfield was present at the meeting.
