Attack on UN team in Douma
Fire opened on the UN security team that was going to the pre-exploration in the Douma before the study of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons group.
Fire opened on the United Nations [UN] security team, which made a discovery tour in the Douma near Syria in the capital city of Damascus.
In order to investigate whether there is a suitable environment for the Organization of the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW] experts to perform their duties in the Douma, it was stated that the local team had escaped without being wounded and returned to the capital Damascus.
OPCW General Director Ahmet Uzumcu said that it is unclear when the research team can reach the Douma safely.
OPCW experts went to Damascus on Saturday to investigate allegations chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta Douma on April 7, but the delegation had not been allowed to enter the Douma.
