Twin attacks carried out in Afghanistan's capital Kabul killed 32 people including 8 journalists on Monday, at least 50 others were injured.
In the first explosion, a motorcycle-riding attacker detonated himself close to the National Directorate of Security, in Shash Darak area Ministry of Interior Spokesman Necib Danis said and added that the second attacker detonated himself among journalists gathered in the area to capture the image.
Eyewitnesses said the second journalist-looking attacker blew up the bomb he had placed in the camera, among journalists.
Kabul's Shash Darak region is located near the US Embassy, the NATO base, and the Afghan Defense Ministry.
Kandahar attack: At least 11 children killed
On the other hand, at least 11 children in Afghanistan's Kandahar province reportedly lost their lives in another attack. A total of 16 people, nine civilians, two policemen and five Romanian soldiers, were wounded in an attack near a mosque in the Daman district. It was reported that the bomb was detonated during the passage of the convoy carrying foreign troops serving in Afghanistan.
