Boat capsizes in Indonesia: 178 people missing
Some 178 people reportedly are missing as the result of a boat overturned in Indonesia's Sumatra Island.
It was reported that the number of missing people in the capsized boat in Toba Lake on Sumatra Island in Indonesia is 178 people.
Indonesian National Police’s public relations officer Grand Comm. Yusri Yunus, who was in the explanations of the capsized boat, stated that the wooden passenger boat named "KM Sinar Bangun", which was sailing from Samosir to the Simalungun area in Lake Toba has capsized and that 178 people were missing.
The Ministry of Transport has also established five special teams to carry out the search and rescue operations in a comprehensive manner.
National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho explained that 19 people were rescued and that one person's lifeless body was reached.
