In the head-on collision of a car and a lorry, 3 people reportedly lost their lives and one other person injured.

According to information, the accident took place on Wednesday at noon on the road between Özbek and Kozluca villages of Idil district, near Dincer Police Station. Driving by Idris Ece, 32, the 34 YR 6919 plate car head-on collided with the 33 DYG 59 plate lorry. Idris Ece, his son Yasir Ece 15, and Selahaddin Akyüz 14 lost their lives in the accident while the lorry driver was injured.

Idlis Ece, the driver of the car was learned to be the imam of Kozluca village lost his life along with his son in the accident. After the autopsy procedure at Idil State Hospital, it was learned that imam Idlis Ece and his son Yasir Ece will be buried at Mardin's Midyat district.

An investigation into the incident has been launched. (ILKHA)
