China threatened Turkiye over Uighur Muslims

"If you choose a non-constructive way, it would harm the trade and economic relations as well," China's Ankara Ambassador Deng Li said Friday while threatened Turkiye inexplicitly over Turkiye's criticized the situation of Uyghur Muslims.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu reiterated Ankara's concern at the United Nations meeting this week and urged China to respect human rights and freedom of religion.

"There may be disagreements or misunderstandings between friends but we should solve them through dialogue. Criticizing your friend publicly everywhere is not a constructive approach," said China's Ambassador to Turkiye Deng Li, in a statement to Reuters.

Threatening Turkiye inexplicitly, "If you choose a non-constructive path, it will negatively affect mutual trust and understanding and will be reflected in commercial and economic relations," Deng said.

Li also said that many Chinese companies are looking for investment opportunities in Turkiye, including the third nuclear power plant they want to build in Turkiye.

With the last statement of China's ambassador to Turkiye, comments made that China tries to use its economic power over Turkiye to silence it against cruelties exposed on Uyghur Muslims.

China's persecution of Muslims

While it is estimated that there are 350 thousand Muslims in Chinese dungeons, it is impossible to receive healthy news from the Uighurs who were imprisoned.
