In Yemen, after the ceasefire decision with the mediating role of the United Nations, clashes stopped in Hodeidah, one of the key port cities of the country.

The ceasefire decision was reached last week in Sweden under the auspices of the United Nations.

The truce, which signed between Abdul Rabbu Mansur Hadi who is supported by the Saudi-led coalition and Houthis, does not carry a political negotiation for the moment. However, it is considered an important step in the initiation of the long-term peace process.

According to United Nations data, 21 million of 29 million people in Yemen are in need of assistance. The humanitarian crisis in Yemen can grow even further next year according to the International Rescue Committee.
