Commemoration program held for villagers killed by the PKK
A commemoration program was held for 26 villagers, including 8 children, who were murdered by a landmine laid under the road by PKK during the passage of the village's minibus in Mardin's Midyat district, in Kayalıpınar village.

Witnesses of the PKK's bloody massacre and relatives of those who lost their lives condemned the atrocities of the massacre by sharing their feelings.
Hasret Aktekin, who lost his father Şükrü Aktekin in the mined attack when he was 2 years old, said, "I was 2-years-old when I lost my father 25 years ago. I curse them. Allah damn them."
“We had a great pain“
Izzettin Ağırman relatives of who lost their lives in the attack, said: "My two uncles, my sister in law and their five children were slaughtered. I do not know what to say. There was no reason. We had a great pain. We live this pain every year."
