Midyat district governorate organized a commemoration program for 26 villagers, including 8 children, who were lost their lives while the minibus they were in hit by a landmine laid by PKK under the road of the village in 1993.

Witnesses of the PKK's bloody massacre and relatives of those who lost their lives condemned the atrocities of the massacre by sharing their feelings.

Hasret Aktekin, who lost his father Şükrü Aktekin in the mined attack when he was 2 years old, said, "I was 2-years-old when I lost my father 25 years ago. I curse them. Allah damn them."

“We had a great pain“

Izzettin Ağırman relatives of who lost their lives in the attack, said: "My two uncles, my sister in law and their five children were slaughtered. I do not know what to say. There was no reason. We had a great pain. We live this pain every year."
