Consumer confidence index decreases in Turkey, a new study says
The consumer confidence index realized as 56.7 in July in Turkey, decreased 2 percent when compared to the previous month while this ratio shows that confidence is pessimistic in the view of consumers.
Turkstat announced its July 2019 consumer confidence index for Turkey.
Seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey decreased by 2% compared to the previous month. The index became 56.5 in July while it was 57.6 in June.
The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period, which was 78.3 in June, decreased by 1.7% and became 77 in July.
The general economic situation expectation index (next 12 months period) which was 73.9 in June decreased by 0.8% and became 73.4 in July.
The number of people unemployed expectation index (next 12 months period) which was 56.3 in June decreased by 1.3% and became 55.6 in July.
The probability of saving index (next 12 months period) which was 22 in June decreased by 9% and became 20 in July.
