NGOs throughout Turkiye continue to react to the decision taken by Supreme Court that approved the 6 years 3 months punishment to HUDA PAR vice presidents Sait Şahin, M.Bahattin Temel and journalist Fikret Gültekin from a file that prepared with the conspiracy of FETO's prosecutors and judges in 2011.

Murat Özer, President of İMKANDER, told ILKHA about the unlawful decisions made that the decision is not legal and should be annulled.

Speaking about the content of the criminal file caused conviction, Özer said: "There are two aspects of this subject. First, the trials were fundamentally wrong, because it was decided that people who were not tried and punished for 10 years would be released. However, at that time, a public pressure formed by the left media in Turkiye caused these individuals to be arrested and put into prison again."

Özer noted that Turkiye's judiciary was politicized completely while the state and judiciary took the reaction of the left media into consideration during the implementation of a legislation against Islamic view people. "The punishment of people who could not be punished for 10 years means that Turkiye's judiciary was politicized completely," he said.

Stating that the punishment to HUDA PAR executives was based on absurd accusations, as they [HUDA PAR executives] welcomed people, who have been released, in their own homes.

"How did they think it was a crime to have people in their homes who were not convicted?" Özer asked.

"Naturally, there was an unfair trial from beginning to end. I think that this provision given by the Supreme Court of Appeals should be annulled and this error should be reversed. Because the day that the judgments and ruled made on this issue, the heavy criminal judge and members were later revealed that they were with the July 15 [coup attempt], participated in the coup attempt, they were members of FETO organization."

"In other words, we have seen clearly that those who accuse the people on helping the terrorist organization are members of the terrorist organizations."

"They do not want peace and security in Turkiye"

Reminding that more than 4 thousand judges and prosecutors were dismissed on the grounds that they were linked to FETO after the July 15 coup attempt, Özer asked: "Is there any possibility that their decisions will be fair?"

"They want chaos in the country. Thus, these people [FETO members] cannot be members of the judiciary; they cannot come to a position to distribute justice. They do not want peace and security in Turkiye.
