At least 7 soldiers were lost their lives and 3 other soldiers were seriously injured when the hand-made explosive device detonated during the passage of a military vehicle in the Gercüş, southeastern district of Batman.

Within the scope of the operations carried out against the PKK in the countryside of Gercüş, the number of soldiers lost their lives in the blast that took place during the passage of the military vehicle increased to 7.

Batman Governor's Office announced earlier that 4 soldiers lost their lives, five other soldiers were injured.

The soldiers who had lost their lives were brought to Batman Regional State Hospital with funeral vehicles. The number of soldiers lost their lives in the explosion rose to 7 and 3 soldiers were reportedly seriously injured.
