Downpours cause flood in Istanbul: one dead

Heavy downpours that began around noon in Istanbul caused a flood. One person died due to flooding, while many vehicles were stranded in the water.

Roads turned to the lake due to heavy downpours that started at noon in Istanbul.

A person's lifeless body was reached in the underpass at Unkapanı, while the historic Grand Bazaar and Eminönü underpass bazaar were also flooded.

Rainfall is forecast to continue into the evening.
