Erdogan receives US Vice President Mike Pence
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday met with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence in the capital Ankara.
The meeting has started at 3.40 p.m. Erdoğan and Pence are expected to discuss Turkey’s ongoing operation against YPG/PKK members in northern Syria.
Turkey launched “Operation Peace Spring” on Oct. 9 to remove YPG/PKK members from northern Syria in order to establish a safe zone for Syrian return in the area east of the Euphrates River.
