Erdoğan: We devote all our energy to enhancing the quality of our universities
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has participated in the opening ceremony of Çukurova University’s newly-built facilities in Turkey’s southern Adana province.
Making a speech at the opening ceremony of the newly-built facilities at Çukurova University, Erdoğan said: “We have now entered a period in which we can devote all our energy and resources to enhancing the quality of our universities since they no longer have any capacity problems.”
“We have spared no efforts to prevent interruption in education during the pandemic”
Thanking all the institutions and companies that contribute to the development and growth of Çukurova University, Erdoğan recalled that Turkey, like other countries, switched to distance learning as part of the fight against the pandemic, and said: “We have spared no efforts so as to prevent any interruption in education in this period at high, secondary and primary school levels.”
Distance or hybrid education obviously cannot replace in-person education, Erdoğan stressed, adding that face-to-face education was relaunched this year thanks to the progress made in vaccination and in light of the experiences gained in the fight against the pandemic.
“Turkey possesses the necessary infrastructure to successfully manage the post-pandemic era”
“As was the case with the times of the pandemic, Turkey possesses the necessary capacity, infrastructure, administrative capability and the political will to successfully manage the post-pandemic era as well,” Erdoğan stated. “As I always say, Turkey will emerge stronger from this period.”
Drawing attention to the investments and achievements in higher education, Erdoğan underlined that Turkey now entered a period in which it can devote all its energy and resources to enhancing the quality of its universities since they no longer have any capacity problems.
