EU approves refugee assistance
The European Commission, which is the executive body of the European Union, has approved a €3 billion refugees financial assistance to Turkiye.
The European Commission has approved €3 billion the second part of the financial assistance promised to be provided for Syrian refugees living in Turkiye.
EU’s top migration official Dimitris Avramopoulos announced that the 2nd part of financial assistance that is €3 billion has been approved within the framework March 18 agreement with Turkiye.
The package will cost one billion euros from the European Commission's budget, while the remaining two billion euros will be financed from member countries' own budgets.
