Execution decision on 6 members of Jamaat-e-Islami
Execution decision was given to 6 members of Jamaat-e-Islami by Hasina government in Bangladesh.
Founded by Sheikh Hasina government in Bangladesh "International Criminal Court" gave execution decision for 6 members of the Jamaat-e-Islami Party.
While six people were being sentenced to death including former deputy and one of the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamaat-e-Islami Party leader Mujibur Rahman showed a strong reaction to the court's decision. Rahman said that Abu Saleh Muhammad Abdul Aziz has not involved in any crime so far but sacrificed to Hasina's "political blood revenge".
The "International War Crimes Tribunal" which was founded by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheik Hasina in 2009 to research the "crimes" allegedly committed during the war of independence in 1971, has punished far too many people on death decision, while a large number of Jamaat-e-Islami members are among them.
As it is remembering, the first found guilty by the court that controls by secular Hasina management, was a member of Jamaat-e-Islami Abdul Kalam Azad. Azad, tried in absentia due to his separation from the country, was sentenced to death in January 2013.
Similar prosecuted on the grounds and provisions applied Deputy Secretary-General Abdul Qadir Mullah on December 2013, party leader Motier Rahman Nizami on May 10, 2016, Deputy Secretary General Muhammad Kamaruzz Bremen on April 11, 2015, the Central Executive Committee member Mir Kasim Ali on September 3, 2016.
The 92-years-old Jamaat-e-Islami leader Gulam Azzam, who also sentenced 90 years in prison, lost his life in the prison on October 23, 2014. Members of Jamaat-e-Islami Furkan Malik, former Secretary General Ali Mujahid, and former deputy Sakhavat Hussein were also sentenced to death by the court.
Opposition parties and international observers in Bangladesh say that 'International War Crimes Tribunal' founded by Hasina, is not comply with fair trial standards and gives political decisions.
Sheikh Hasina management is accused of committing crimes such as torture, mass murders, and arbitrary arrests in order to suppress oppositions.
