Flooding in India kills more than a hundred
Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated while nearly 150 people have died in flooding in India.
The death toll in flooding caused by heavy rain in India's Karnataka, Kerala, and the Maharashtra States has risen to 147, according to officials.
Landslides and ongoing heavy rainfall are disrupting rescue efforts as rescuers continue their work.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been transferred from flood-ravaged areas to aid tents, the report said.
Many parts of the World Heritage Site in the country have been flooded.
Train service has been halted in most areas hit by flooding.
It said 57 people were killed in Kerala state and 60 in Karnataka state, while the biggest damage happened in these states along with Maharashtra state.
446 people were killed in floods in Assam, Bihar, and Gujarat this year.
