Jürgen Werner, a retired police officer in Germany, found the true path by investigating Islam after being influenced by his close neighbor Muslims. Werner, who was gathering information about Islam and making the search for a long time, decided to become a Muslim over the advice of his close friend Ali, who also is a Turkish citizen.

Werner, who came to Mardin's Kızıltepe in Turkiye with his neighbors Hasan and Murat, has applied to district Mufti Office to convert to Islam.

Werner has become a Muslim after repeating the word of Shahada along with the Kızıltepe Mufti Mahsum Taşçı. The Mufti Taşçı gifted him the Qur'an along with the necessary documents. Werner changed his name to Ali after converted to Islam.

"I will return to Germany and invite my relatives to Islam"

Ali, who explored Islam through his friends in Germany and met with Islam, said:

"Thanks to my friend Ali, I learned Islam and I loved it very much. So I decided to choose Islam. I am Muslim now, by saying the world of Shahada and I am very happy and joyful. I have Muslim friends I love them all. May Allah be pleased with them. I will return to Germany and tell them that I am a Muslim, and I will invite them and especially my relatives to Islam. I am having difficulty expressing my feelings right now, I am very happy."

Kızıltepe District Mufti Masum Taşçı stated that the German citizen decided to choose Islam as the result of the research he had made. "After we explained the necessary information about Islam on his application to our mufti office, he became a Muslim by saying the Word of Shahada. We gave them the necessary documents and we presented a Qur'an," he added.

"We came to Turkiye together after he decided to become Muslim"

A neighbor of German's citizen Hasan Emrek, said that Ali [who newly became Muslim] was a very helpful person even before converting to Islam.

"I live in Germany; we have been neighbors for about 14 years. He is a very helpful person. He was helping both to the Syrian people and to people from Turkiye. Even if we were in trouble, we were looking for him. He always helps us. Everyone there loves him so much, we love him too."
