Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 4,87 million
More than 239 million people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities, with 734,611 deaths, followed by Brazil with 601,266 deaths, India with 450,991, and Mexico with 282,227 deaths.
Around 216,3 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals worldwide.
