The car carrying bride and groom flew off the cliff near Eğlence village in Siirt, southeastern of Turkiye, killed the groom and the driver, while 3 other people, including the bride, were injured.

During the convoy of the bridal car that was carrying home the bride and the groom, the driver Yüksel Pozat reportedly failed to negotiate the bend and flew off the cliff through the Botal Stream on Sunday evening in Siirt.

Car driver Yüksel Pozat and the groom Yakup Tunç lost their lives in the car where they were stuck. The bride Sevda Bakay, and others who were in the car, Semra Bakay and Mehmet Tunç were seriously wounded as they jumped out of the car.

Upon notice, many search-and-rescue and health teams were dispatched to the scene while the wounded were taken to Siirt State Hospital to be treated.
