Gunmen kill Japanese doctor in Afghanistan
Gunmen have killed Japanese physician Tetsu Nakamura and five Afghans, including the doctor’s bodyguards, the driver and a passenger in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Wednesday.
Japanese physician Tetsu Nakamura, an aid worker in eastern Afghanistan, died of his wounds after an attack Wednesday that also killed five Afghans, including the doctor’s bodyguards, the driver and a passenger, the provincial governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani said in a statement.
Tetsu Nakamura was the chairman of the Japanese charity, Peace Medical Service.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
