Hassan Diab cabinet wins confidence vote in Lebanon
Lebanese parliament gave vote of confidence to new cabinet formed by Prime Minister Hassan Diab in a nine-hour session on Tuesday.
84 parliament members attended the session while 20 of them withheld their confidence from the new government and one member refrained from voting, according to Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri.
Despite the protests, which took place in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon in order to prevent parliament members from voting, the parliament convened and voted in favor of the cabinet.
