Heatwave takes life in Pakistan: 73 dead

Some 73 people died in the last three days due to high air temperatures affecting life in Pakistan.

In the southern Pakistani town of Karachi, 73 people have reportedly lost their lives due to heat waves.

The vast majority of those who lost their lives were children and elderly people. It is worrying that the number of deaths will rise with temperature increases.

Experts explain that the hot weather will continue for a while, warning the public to consume plenty of fluids and stay in the shadows.

Temperatures up to 45 degrees in the day and up to 80 percent of the nude, as well as power interruptions, affect life negatively.

Extreme hot weather in the region is expected to continue tomorrow. The warm weather waves brought about by recent climate changes have caused the death of a 1,233 people in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province in 2015. (ILKHA)
