Najla Tammy Kepler, who attended Esenler Young IHH program held in Kadir Topbaş Culture Center within the scope of 'meeting writer-reader', told about her adventure from Christianity to Islam.

Having a challenging, instructive and interesting life story through to the truth that began in Texas, Najla Tammy Kepler shared the story of her life experiences and story of becoming a Muslim with young readers.

Kepler said that she was very loved by her Christian family and that her family worked hard for her to live a faithful life.

Kepler expressed that her parents separated at her young age, said, "I have learned some information about the hereafter in Christianity, but all of them were incomplete information. The Torah, the Psalms, the Bible have all been changed and they have immoral interpretations of the prophets. We can understand from this that they have problems in the faith towards our Lord."

Kepler said she did not celebrate her birthday even when she was a Christian, "because candles on the cake are blown by making a wish, but we need to present our wishes to Allah," she added.

"Not knowing the right way is to get into the storm"

"Not knowing the right way is to get into the storm," Kepler said and continued her speech; "I have persecuted both myself and others while I was in that situation. Because there was no Islam to protect me, there was no sense of privacy to protect me, there was no prayer to protect me."

"Humanity is much polluted in America"

Stating that America is not how it is being shown, Kepler said that there is poverty also in there. "One night, drunken people broke down my wall. At other times, they pull the knife on my mother. Drugs and prostitution are widespread. People are asking tiny children if they have a darling. People polluted themselves too much in there. In this way, they destroyed the family institution and unfortunately, the divorce rate has raised. What will happen to the child if there is no family? The child either will join gangs, and the number of wounds and suicide cases will raise," she said.

"Interest refers to slavery"

Kepler said that she had graduated from college in the same day with her mother, said; "My mother even made a graduate degree but she dropped into a trap and borrowed with interest to get the education. Now she is 70 years old and still has to work because she has the debt of 60 thousand dollars."

"The wisdom I have south for 3 years was hidden in 40 Hadith"

Kepler explained the process of being a Muslim, saying: "For three years, I prayed God saying, 'O Lord, give me wisdom.' The Lord has helped me and a student, who came from Turkiye began to tell me about God. This person did not fast nor prayer but knew the God. One day gave me the evil eye bead. I kept with me more than two days and I broke it and threw away because the piece of glass could not protect me. Then gave me 40 Hadith book. Obviously, I was looking for this. This book was left to the college library by the Muslim students before I was born. That book was normally could be read in half an hour, but I read in two nights because I could not just read it. I had to read, understand and place in my heart. Therefore, the wisdom I have south for 3 yeast was hidden in this 40 hadith book. I was so hungry for the truth and that this book was the cure. I met the most beautiful person Muhammad [PBUH] through this book and became a Muslim.
