If our scholars were independent, perhaps we would not have experienced these problems
Speaking at the 3rd Scholars Meeting, Sheikh Zahit Khaznawi of Syrian Kurdistan pointed out that the scholars who gave their rope to the hands of the state lagged behind in the implementation of the provisions of Islam.
In the second session of the panel moderated by Mehmet Özer, Scholar and mudarris Sheikh Zahit Khaznawi from Syrian Kurdistan made a presentation on "Ulema in the gripper of obstacles and difficulties: social and political difficulties, the consequences of difficulties".
Underlining in his speech that the duty of the scholars is the duty of the Prophets, Khaznawi said, "The duty of scholars is to unite the believers and to apply the law revealed by Allah. Of course, scholars can encounter many difficulties. Social, political obstacles are preventing them. Verily scholars may encounter many troubles. Of course, the reason why scholars suffer so much is that they are not united. We are gathered here for Islam. If there are any mistakes, we should talk about it and correct our mistakes."
"They desire an Islamic Society to be digested easily"
Talking about the imperialists that they work to prevent the way of the scholars, Khaznawi said, "They are blocking scholars by waving secularism flags in the west. They try to reduce the influence of scholars. The aim is to kill the faith in the heart of the Muslim generation. They desire an Islamic Society to be digested easily."
Stating that there is a huge intellectual war against scholars, Khaznawi noted that their aim is to reduce the importance of scholars. Stressing that those who cannot win the intellectual war against scholars, use the power of weapons, Sheikh Zahit noted that they moved scholars from politics and social fields.
Sheikh Zahit Khaznawi underlined that the Islamic world is in a chaotic situation and added that the biggest problem is that scholars are government employees. "Those who put their ropes in the hands of the state are lagging behind enforcing the Islamic provisions," he said.
"If our scholars were independent, perhaps we would not have experienced these problems"
Talking about the scholars who oppose the leaders, Sheikh Zahit said those scholars are either executed or sent to prisons by spreading the news that they are the great betrayal. "At the moment, we see such difficulties that if our scholars were independent, perhaps we would not have experienced these difficulties."
"When Sultan Selim first heard that a non-Muslim minority had caused unrest in Istanbul, he made a decision as follows: He said the opposition would be punished. A great scholar was angry when he heard this because Sultan Selim said something non-Islamic in his law. 'Even if he is the sultan, he would not be able to say that,' he said and called to the sultan, "you have made laws against the religion of Islam. Give it up. Or you'll be displaced by a fatwa. That's how the scholars were."
"They used the woman as a tool of disrupting society"
After missionary activities carried out with the removal of the Caliphate, Khaznawi said that the Ummah gave its last breath and said, "At the moment, we see how the lands of the Ummah are occupied and how their blood is shed. This is happening with the West's support for terrorist groups. After all, when they saw that the Islamic world woke up and that it was with the hands of scholars, they started to put pressure on the scholars in a political sense. They began to support racism and racist parties. They also used the woman as a tool of disrupting society. They did this under the name of women's rights. Again, they did this with the hand of some of the traitors who lived within us, those whose rope is in the hands of the West. These people, in the words of the prophet, are western puppets who spoke our language."
