The Defense Industry Executive Committee was convened in the Presidency Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In written statements made after the meeting; it has been reported that new decisions have been taken by monitoring the projects aimed at adding the innovations to the domestic and national systems in order to further strengthen the security units operating within and beyond the border.

Noting that projects which have a total value of TL13.5billion were reviewed in the meeting and that measures regarding various investment and improvement activities for developing, strengthening, supporting and exporting defense industry and its technologies were taken. The statement read: "In this regard, projects aimed at providing new capabilities to ATAK helicopters; modernizing new UAV systems as well as land, air and sea vehicles, jammer systems, radars and command and control systems; and meeting the various needs of our security units were evaluated."
