Indian Army tortures people in Kashmir

Following the Indian government revoked Kashmir's autonomous status and split the state into two separate regions, the Indian Army has been exerting pressure, persecution, and torture on the people in the region.

After the Indian government decided to abolish the autonomous status of Kashmir, which has caused years of tension with Pakistan, and split the state into two separate regions, the soldiers and police stationed in the Indian-run region are imposing pressure, persecution, and torture on the people.

Hostility to Islam is increasing every day in India, which is one of the most populous Islamic countries in the world with a population of 300 million Muslims.

Muslims, who make up 22 percent of the total population, cannot find jobs in government offices, while only 4 percent of their educational needs are met.

The drama of Muslims subjected to systematic assimilation is hidden by the government of India, preventing it from appearing in the international media. Muslims are shown in the lowest tier of the "caste system".

Muslims living in India's two major states, Assam and Kashmir, are being "de-identified," making them vulnerable to attacks by Hindus. Hindus, who frequently attack mosques and madrasas, slaughter Muslims.

The first of the rights abuses experienced by Muslims in Kashmir is sexual harassment and violence.

Restrictions on freedom of expression forced detentions, arbitrary detentions, torture, and access to health care are also cited among the rights abuses suffered by Muslims in Kashmir.

The government of India revoked Article 370 of the Constitution on 5 August, ending the special status of the region. Since then, the region has been under strict restrictions.

Tens of thousands of reinforcements and police were deployed to the area and about 3 thousand people, including political leaders, business people, and activists, were detained. Many were sent to prisons outside the state.

Hindus say these steps are "preventive" measures and are being taken to "ensure law and order" in the region.

India's army has been carrying out attacks against Muslims in the region for more than three decades.
