Iraqi security forces thwart attempt to blow up police station by car bomb
The Anbar Operations Command announced on Sunday that it had thwarted an attempt to detonate a car bomb near a police station.
“Our heroic police officers in Anbar were confronted by a booby-trapped vehicle, that terrorists were desperately trying to target a police station,” Anbar operations commander Lt. Gen. Nasser al-Ghannam said in a statement.
