Speaking at the "family and women in Islam" program organized for women, TESSEP Diyarbakır provincial representative Cahide Şnelik said that the law on the protection of the Family No. 6284 exploits women and the family in contrast to protection.

Şenlik noted that the EU-funded ETCEP project was seemingly simple and it actually is a scary project in the background.

"Women or men cannot bring civilizations alone, but civilizations may dominate the earth with the coexistence of the two," Şenlik said.

"So far, many civilizations have passed through the Earth. Some of them have caused humanity to progress further, others to caused humanity to decline, or even disappear."

Explaining the persecution against women before Islam, Şenlik said: "In Western Christian society, women named the 'Daughters of Eve,' or the symbol of evil and the devil, and also named the woman Pandora. When we look at Europe again, the woman is used as a means of enjoyment and is called the goddess of love."

Stating that when girls came to puberty in England, they were put in the cells and kept until they were sold and married, Şenlik noted that women were not even given names in countries like China and Japan, while they were called by numbers such as woman number 1, 2 or 3.

"Woman was considered if she is human or not and they had discussed it over the years in Rome and the Greeks."

"The jews, on the other hand, named women as daughters of Eve, as she passed through the distorted Torah. Christians also call women as daughters of Eve, like jews. [Those religions] have cursed our mother Eve saying that she deceived our father Adam and caused both to be taken out of heaven."

"However, in the Qur'an, Allah says, "Satan has deceived them both." So they both committed this mistake together."

"And again, in Iran, the woman had no value in any way; it was only used as a sexual commodity."

Şenlik said that the Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, saved the woman from being buried alive and brought her back to her original dignity in a time when little girls, daughters were buried alive.

"The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) has removed this nightmare that had fallen upon women. So that when He was asked by his companions, 'Who we should do the favor,' he replied three times: 'your mother'. This is how our Prophet has shown us the value He has given to the woman."

"With the religion of Islam, our Prophet saved the woman who was trampled underfoot, seated her at the head of the house and made her a kind of Queen. Therefore, Islam is the name of a civilization that gives women real dignity. Islam has raised women to such a beautiful position."
