Judiciary under all kinds of pressure: Yapıcıoğlu
Speaking at the Van Congress of the party, HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu noted that justice works according to the person, said that the judge is under pressure.
HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, who participated to Van Province 2nd Ordinary Congress, found important evaluations related to the internal agenda.
Yapıcıoğlu made important statements on many issues, such as the reflection of the attack made on the veiled woman in Istanbul, the continuing effects of the February 28 period, subcontractors, security investigations, and the functioning of the country's judiciary.
"Attack on a veiled lady is unacceptable because of her dress"
Yapıcıoğlu emphasized that the judiciary is under any kind of pressure and said, "As you know a woman wearing a short was assaulted in Istanbul. The press tried to raise the country. 'It is unacceptable a woman was assaulted due to her dress.' Right soon, a veiled woman assaulted by another person. So, what happened? The one who assaulted on the woman wearing short was detained and asking for many years punishment. In addition, the one person assaulted on a veiled woman was identified and detained. He was taken to the court, questioned and released. Is there any voice? No. The judiciary is under any kind of pressure. The media force on the judiciary and the judge bows. The political force on the judiciary and the judge bows."
"Number of people in prison has increased by 4 times in the past 12 years"
Drawing attention to the people in prisons has increased in the last 12 years, Yapıcıoğlu said; "That 12 years ago, the number of people in prisons in Turkiye was 55,870,000 person on December 31, 2005. These are the official figures of the Ministry of Justice. As of November of 2017, this number increased to 228,993,000. The number of people who were in prison in 12 years increased by 4 times."
"There is no trust to the justice in the country; it works according to the person"
Yapıcıoğlu added, "Justice is working in different ways according to the personality. There is no trust to justice in the country. It is true in these two senses that the rightful owner is not sure that he will be able to get the right and the person who is committing the crime is not having afraid of to be punished. As the lawyers say, the justice 'is like a spider web where the wasps pass through and the honey bees stuck.' Means; those powerful people, the ones behind the politics can get rid of the courts without having to pay much time in the courts, without any punishment."
