"Karacadağ martyrs" commemorated upon their graves
The 11 people who were martyred in 1994 of an explosion of a land-mine laid by the PKK in Çınar, district of Diyarbakır, were commemorated with a program held by Martyrs Caravan Platform.
Speaking at the program, Mullah Muzaffer Karavil pointing out that martyrs of Islam add abundance to the cause of Islam, said the path of martyrs should be carried.
In his speech, Abdurrahman Gülçer, whose son was martyred in the attack, touched on the importance of fighting in the way of Allah.
"Karacadağ Mine Martyrs", who were martyred of a land-mine explosion laid by PKK in 1994 under the road of Yıllarca [Gogweri] village, near Çınar, district of Diyarbakır, were commemorated in a program held by Martyrs Caravan Platform upon their graves.
Posters were hung in the village cemetery where the program was arranged, including the resumes of martyred 11 people.
Saying that Muslims should not forget martyrs for a moment, Karavil indicated that it is thanks to the abundance of the blood of these martyrs if they tell the Islamic cause in peace today.
"World property should not deceive us. We are here today for these blessed Martyrs. We must know that 124 thousand prophets were sent [for this cause]. 'Martyrdom' level is the highest level after the level of prophets," Karavil said.
"If we take this into account, then we will understand the Hadith of the messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). Allah's Messenger (May Peace Be upon Him) says: 'Whoever dies without the will of Shahadat [being martyr] and cause of Allah, he died on ignorance,'" he added.
"Martyrdom has never stopped and has always continued"
Karavil pointed out that the martyrdom began with Adam. "The history of martyrdom has begun with the beginning of human life. You know, the first children of Adam were Abel and Cain. One of them was on the side of believers and the other was on the side of blasphemy."
"The first bloodshed on the Earth was the blood of a martyr. The first martyr was Abel. Martyrdom has never stopped and has always continued. The traitors Jews slaughtered Prophet Zechariah with a saw, martyred him. His son Yahiya gave his head for the religion of God and never surrendered."
Karavil went on saying: "15 years after the death of the messenger of Allah, his companions spread Islam across three continents. So, what was the reason? How did they spread Islam over three continents in 15 years?"
"When we look at their lives, we see that love of being martyrs has brought them to Diyarbakır. It is amazing that there are 10 thousand companions in Mecca, in the Jannah al-Baqi and Medina. 90 thousand other companions lost their lives outside of Arabia, far from their homeland, have sacrificed their souls to Allah."
Abdurrahman Gülçer, whose son was martyred in the mine attack, mentioned the importance of fighting in the way of Allah in his speech. "Whoever fights to glorify the name of Allah is on the path of Allah," he said.
