Kosovo's Interior Minister and Intelligence Chief resign from office

The Interior Minister and head of the Intelligence Service were removed from the post because of the operation against FETO by MIT in Kosovo.

Members of the National Intelligence Service (MIT) after arrested six people linked to FETO on Friday in Kosovo, the Kosovo Interior Minister and Intelligence Chief have been dismissed from duty.

Kosovo Prime Minister: I was not informed

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj previously announced that he did not know about the MIT operation and will do the necessary work on the subject. Haradinaj said in a statement made through social media, "Six Turkish citizens were deported in the operation organized by the Kosovo intelligence unit. I, as the prime minister, have not been informed of such an operation. That is why I will deal with this issue in the constitution and legal framework."

President of Kosovo: Our country has failed

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who made a written statement about the event, said the country's related institutions were unsuccessful in protecting the rights of foreign citizens. Hashim Thaci said, "Kosovo is a country that respects the human rights of everyone regardless of their identity and belief. Applying these laws is the duty of our state institutions. Today, our institutions have failed to fulfill these principles in protecting the rights of foreign nationals. No one should be deported because of their different views."

Erdoğan: FETO members handed over to law enforcement

President Erdoğan announced before that six senior FETO members in Balkans arrested in Kosovo and handed over to law enforcement.
