Kurdish laments heartbreaking as PKK/YPG targets civilians
Outside the hospital morgue, the laments in the Kurdish language of relatives for those killed civilians in PKK/YPG mortar attacks fired from Qamishlo of Syria to Nusaybin, district of Mardin, are heartbreaking.
The PKK/YPG, which has increased its attacks targeting civilians since the start of Turkey's 'Operation Peace Spring', has so far killed 17 civilians, 11 of them from Nusaybin, district of Mardin, a southeastern province of Turkey.
Today at 16.35 pm in Nusaybin, in succession hit two separate houses in Yenituran District Hamam Street.
Mortar shells fired from PYD/YPG/PKK-controlled Qamishlo hit 2 different houses with civilians on Hamam Street in Yenituran Neighborhood of Nusaybin district on Friday.
With major damage occurred in houses, at least 8 civilians, 5 of them due to shrapnel fragments, were killed, and 35 were injured with mortal fire.
Relatives of citizens who heard about the mortar attack gathered outside of the hospital.
Kurdish laments of the gathered people, who heard their relatives had passed away, were heartbreaking, while Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman paid a visit to the wounded in hospital and wished them a quick recovery.
Meanwhile, some of the journalists who went to the scene to get footage were beaten and their phones extorted by angry people in the vicinity.
