Ağrı Governor Süleyman Elban made explain to the press members about the death of Leyla Aydemir.

"As a result of the autopsy and evaluation, it was concluded that she had died in 8-10 days after she had disappeared, and then she was held somewhere and left in the water she had been in for 2-3 days before she was found," said the Governor.

"There is no abuse or rape. The burns in her body are sourced from the sun. The autopsy has been completed in early morning. The funeral was delivered to the family at 5 o'clock in the morning and the funeral of little daughter was buried. Sorry for the loss. The number of custody is 5."

On the question of a journalist asked, "Was she kidnapped or lost?" the Governor Elban replied, "Kidnapping."
