"Man's mother language is like man's breast milk"
"A man's mother language is like his breast milk. How breast milk cannot be banned to the child, also none of the mother languages can be banned partly or completely," said HUDA PAR in the message published in the International Mother Language Day.
HUDA PAR Political Affairs Presidency issued a message on 21 February International Mother Language Day.
Starting with an ayah from the Qur'an, "And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and colors. In this are signs for those who know," [ar-Rum, 22] in the message reminded that UNESCO adopted a resolution in 1999 that February 21st be "International Mother Language".
"Everyone has the right to study in the mother language"
The message emphasized that the God, who created people differently according to race, tribe, and language, as it is everywhere, proclaimed diversity in language also is one of His ayahs. "In this context, a person's mother language is like that person's breast milk. How breast milk cannot be banned to the child, also none of the mother languages can be banned to partly or completely. This kind of a ban is both a 'challenge to divine will' and also a cause of conflict and unrest. In this regard, as we determined in our party program, everyone has the right to education in the mother language, especially the Kurdish people, and this right should be given to the rightsholders immediately without any circumstance," HUDA PAR said in the message.
