Mass shooting in Thailand: 26 killed
The soldier, who shot dead 26 people and injured 57 others in Kançanaburi province of western Thailand, was killed by commandos in a shopping mall after 17 hours.
The soldier, who killed at least 26 people in a gun rampage inside a shopping mall after becoming angry at a financial dispute, was shot to dead by special commandos units in another shopping mall.
The mass shooter was identified as Jakrapanth Thomma, 32, of the Surathampithak army camp.
National police chief Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda and Pol Lt Gen Poonsap Prasertsak, chief of the Provincial Police Region 3, confirmed that the soldier was killed on Sunday.
