Military plane crashes in Turkiye: 3 soldiers lost their lives
Three soldiers lost their lives as a result of the fall of the plane used for military training in Turkiye's Isparta.
CASA type military transport aircraft departing from Eskisehir for planned flight training crashed, 3 soldiers lost their lives.
"Within the scope of planned flight training from the stationed Eskişehir 1st Main Jet Base Command, at 11.03 on 17 January 2018, a CN-235 CASA-type military transport aircraft that departed with 2 pilots and a technician, cut off the radar contact at around 12:50. Search and rescue operation immediately began. At around 14:30, we were reached to the wreck of our plane to the north of Lake Eğirdir and to the bodies of our three heroic personnel," said in the statement made by the Turkish Armed Forces on the subject.
Isparta Governor Şehmus Günaydın reported that it is difficult to reach the region due to its location, and heavy fog in the region.
