The number of immovable cultural properties under the responsibility of museums increased by 2.6% in 2020 compared to 2019 and reached to 116 thousand 120. The largest number of immovable cultural properties under the responsibility of museums was in Istanbul with 32 thousand 638; İstanbul was followed in order by İzmir with 7 thousand 651 immovable cultural properties, by Muğla with 4 thousand 660 immovable cultural properties and by Bursa with 4 thousand 475 immovable cultural properties.

Number of national parks was increased by 2.3%

Number of the national parks increased by 2.3% and the number of nature parks was increased by 1.2% in 2020 compared to 2019. In the same period, the total area of national parks increased by 4.5% and reached to 907 thousand 520 hectares. The number of nature parks reached to 250 and total area of them increased to 107 thousand 632 hectares in 2020.

The number of nature protection areas was increased 3.3%

The number of nature protection areas increased 3.3% and reached 31. In 2020, the number of natural monuments decreased 0.9% and was 115 compared with the previous year.
