One of two tourists visits Turkiye choose Istanbul
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has published a report stating that Istanbul is among the 10 most visited cities in the world.
Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the world's most visited cities report including Istanbul.
The report consists of data obtained from Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen Airports in Istanbul and the ports in Haydarpaşa, Pendik, Tuzla, Zeytinburnu, Ambarlı, and Karaköy between January and April.
According to the "Istanbul Tourism Statistics Report", the number of foreign visitors from 2,727,640 in the first four months of 2017 increased by 55 percent in the same period of 2018 to 4,248,168.
The total number of foreign visitors to foreigners rate in Turkey, who visited Istanbul was 46 percent in 2017, while 54 percent in 2018.
Accordingly, in the period of January 1 - April 30, 2018, one out of every two people who visit Turkiye, chosen Istanbul.
