"Operation Kapan-3 was launched by the Hakkari provincial gendarmerie command in order to neutralize the remaining PKK members and prevent them from finding reinforcements by blocking the crossings between the sheltering areas," the ministry said.

825 security personnel, including gendarmerie and police forces, are taking part in the operation.
