Pentagon cancels press release on S-400
The Pentagon has indefinitely canceled its press conference on Turkey's S-400 acquisition.
The press conference reportedly was canceled after a phone call between Turkish National Defense Secretary Hulusi Akar and U.S. Acting Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
The expected press conference of Pentagon, which is expected to announce a series of sanctions against Ankara after Turkey began taking delivery of S-400 air defense systems from Russia, has been canceled.
"The press conference will be about the response to Turkey's acceptance of the delivery of Russian-made S-400 air defense systems," an initial statement from the Pentagon said.
