The country's conservative government approved a draft law on Wednesday to build a barrier with a monitoring system and motion sensors at the border with Belarus, in an effort to prevent irregular migrants illegally crossing into Polish territory.

The cost of building the wall is estimated at over €353 million.

Poland has already deployed at the border to turn back migrants attempting to cross into the European Union.
