President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has warned that the United States is "changing a strategic NATO partner with a pastor" in his latest statement about the ongoing diplomatic row between the two countries over the arrest of Pastor Andrew Bronson.

"We only bow down before Allah. I am once again calling on those in America: It is a pity that you choose a pastor over your strategic partner [Turkiye] in NATO. We will only do whatever justice requires," Erdoğan said.
