The government increased the price of electricity and natural gas in Turkiye. To be valid on Monday, the electricity was increased by 8 percent in houses, 18 percent in industrial and commercial places, 9 percent in natural gas for houses and 18.5 percent in industry.

Last month, both electricity and natural gas had increased by 9 percent in the housing and 14 percent in the industry.

After the last hike, the average monthly electric bill of the family reached 126 Turkish Lira. The monthly minimum electricity consumption of a family of 4 is considered as 230 kilowatts.
